10% Discount on Options 2 and 3

For bookings made by the end of June, for 2009 weddings, packages Two and Three ( The Jorgensen album) have been discounted by 10%.

OPTION ONE £ 1325.00 inc vat

OPTION ONE £ 1325.00 inc vat

Coverage from arrival at the wedding venue until you and your guests sit down for the wedding breakfast. Around 4 hours coverage in total.

The resulting images are presented as up to 150 7x5 images, usually about two-thirds in black and white, in an A3 spiralbound black card book.

This can be upgraded to the excellent pro-bound 16x12 panoramic black leather album handmade by Jorgensen of Australia for a further £700 inc vat. This creates a more interesting layout with images of various sizes. Perhaps this could be a wedding gift list idea?

An online album of the wedding, attached to this website, is also included in the price, allowing friends and family to view your wedding day. Prints can then be ordered online - less hassle for you! This applies to all the options.

OPTION TWO £ 1656.00 inc vat ( 10% discount applied )

OPTION TWO £ 1656.00 inc vat ( 10% discount applied )

Coverage for up to 8 hours in total, which could include from getting ready shots up until speeches and even the first dance

The resulting images are presented as up to 250 7x5 prints in two A3 spiral-bound black card books. This is the preferred option for those clients who want smart, simple books that do not shout "wedding album".

The majority of my clients come back for enlargements for their walls, in particular the custom contacts (see below), so that their pictures are seen rather than hidden away.

Coverage is usually around two-thirds black and white. However, as they are shot digitally, all b/w images can be printed in colour for any subsequent print orders.

A common trait among my clients over the years is a love for b/w photography. I have printed several weddings completely in b/w, at my clients' request.

OPTION THREE £ 2277.00 inc vat ( 10% discount applied )

OPTION THREE £ 2277.00 inc vat ( 10% discount applied )

Coverage as with Option 2, up to 8 hours coverage, but presented in a pro-bound 16x12 panoramic black leather album handmade by Jorgensen of Australia. This is a big impressive book that really shows the images off to their best in an interesting layout.

Albums contain 220-240 ( depending upon the eventual layout design ) mounted images in a variety of sizes from 6x4" up to 12x8". There are further upgrade options of album cover colour, wood or metal finishs.

Examples of the layouts that this album provides can be found by clicking on the "album" button on the top menu or in the last section in "portfolio".

CUSTOM CONTACTS

CUSTOM CONTACTS

These have been a very popular print option. They look great framed on the wall to show a narrative of your day.

You choose 9 images for an A4 print and either 9 or 16 images for an A3 print. Images can be taken from various points of the day. They are arranged according to your specifications and printed onto one sheet - an instant storyboard of the wedding.

Any image can be chosen but they must ALL be either horizontal or vertical. Sheets can be printed in b/w or colour.

Custom contacts can be paid for via an online album. However, I would require a separate email outlining the code numbers of the images you wish to include.

The image alongside shows some framed examples - please note that framing is not included in the price.

FAQ'S

ARE THERE ANY OTHER COSTS FOR THE WEDDING COVERAGE?

There is a delivery charge for the completed book(s) if not collected - although I do encourage their collection if at all possible. This charge is currently £40.00 (inc vat) (Royal Mail Special Delivery). I aim to have the books ready for collection/delivery 3-4 weeks after the wedding date.

The Jorgensen albums can take several weeks longer depending upon the design.

For weddings outside the south-east of England there may well be travel charges, and sometimes overnight accommodation is necessary. For weddings abroad, the client is responsible for organising and ensuring payment for flights, accommodation, meals and travel expenses when abroad.

WILL I GET A PICTURE OF EVERY GUEST?

Frankly the only practical way of ensuring that there was a photograph of EVERY guest would be to get them to form a queue and take a portrait of each in turn - hardly interesting pictures and with between 100-250 guests at most weddings, not much space for anything else in the books/albums not withstanding how intrusive this would be and not the style of photography I am hired to shoot.

If there are key people that you will need photographing they need to pointed out clearly beforehand. Reportage photography is about observing as discreetly as possible and capturing naturalistic images that are interesting and reflect the atmosphere of the day. I don't do "Hello" magazine, people-standing-next-to-each-other-drink-in-hand-grinning-at-the-camera shots!

CAN WE PURCHASE THE DIGITAL NEGATIVES?

A dvd of high resolution files, with each image from your album in both colour and b/w can be purchased at the same time as the package for £400 (inc vat). This reduces to £250 (inc vat) after 12 months have elapsed since the wedding date. The dvd comes with a licence to use allowing you to print as many images as you wish from these files.

DO WE NEED TO MEET BEFORE BOOKING?

I am happy to arrange a meeting but it isn't a requirement for me. I find that I only actually meet about 50% of my wedding clients before the wedding day - many people book after looking at my work on this website or through personal recommendations - and are often too far away for a personal meeting. A meeting does give you an opportunity to see printed examples of my work and to look at the type of album and print options available. I am based in Horsham, just south of Gatwick Airport. Included with the booking forms is an info sheet which I ask clients to fill in with details of the forthcoming day. I would then contact the client a few days prior to the wedding day to talk through the practical details of the day.

WE WOULD LIKE TO BOOK, WHAT DO WE DO NEXT?

Just drop me an email or phone to check my availability for the date of your wedding. If this date is still free I will send you the booking form and info sheet to complete. A non-refundable booking fee of £250.00 (inc vat), paid by cheque, sent with these completed forms secures the date. This is then deducted from the total price, with the balance due on or before the wedding date.

WHAT IF WE HAVE AN IMAGE WE REALLY LIKE IN OUR ALBUM BUT IT IS IN B/W AND WE WOULD LIKE IT IN COLOUR?

All images are shot digitally using high resolution professional digital cameras ( Canon 1D MkIII cameras ). This allows me to archive colour versions of all the b/w shots, so a colour version is available for all the b/w shots. This is a major advantage that digital has over film.

HOW QUICKLY DO WE HAVE TO ORGANISE OUR PRINT ORDER?

I aim to keep all the images archived for at least ten years.

DO WE CHOOSE WHICH IMAGES GO INTO OUR ALBUM?

I could say that all I shoot on the day goes into the album however part of the creative process is editing. Not only editing out shots of people blinking, duplicates, etc but also tightly editing to what tells the story of the day best. There is virtually no limit to the number of images I will capture - in reportage, if you don't shoot you don't get! Digital is liberating in that I no longer have to continually watch the number of rolls of film being shot - and an escalating budget -so I can instead fully concentrate upon capturing images.
With the Jorgensen album option, should clients wish they can first view their images on the online album, from a pool of 300 images and then give me feedback about these images to help me design the final book. However I find the majority are happy to let me crack on and get the book designed, printed and assembled asap so they see the images for the first time in the album.

CAN YOU PHOTOGRAPH THE CEREMONY?

This is my favourite bit of the day to photograph. Whether I can photograph your own ceremony really depends upon the permission of those officiating the event - and this varies widely. From experience there are usually only problems with Registrars and CofE churches - never had any problems with other religions where photography is often encouraged. Registrars can often be the biggest stumbling block. Here in Sussex they seem perfectly happy as they are in Marylebone, Chelsea and Tunbridge Wells, for example. Often it sems to be a lottery with regard to the individual registrar ( I even had one tell me minutes before the ceremony was to due to start that the groom had asked for no photographs during the ceremony - no such conversation had taken place! The groom , a keen photographer himself was not impressed! ) I have found Wiltshire registrars to have very anti-photography policies, for some reason.
("Some officials seem to forget it is not their day!" quoting a photo friendly registrar!)

When discussing this subject with your registrar/vicar/priest I would emphasise to them that my photography is discreet with NO flash. - perhaps invite them to view this website?
