I began my career as a photojournalist at The Times in London. It was a job that found me shooting images both in the UK and around the world. From portraits of politicians, actors and celebrities, to the drama of hard news stories or to quiet, observed reportage - all working to the pressure of tight deadlines. It gave me a broad experience that I can now bring to my wedding photography and I still shoot for both editorial and corporate clients. Examples of this work can be found at my other website, www.martinbeddall.com and my blog, www.martinbeddallblog.com My discreet style aims to create a 'storyboard' of your wedding day, highlighting both moments you remember and moments you missed. While the emphasis is very much upon this photojournalism approach, traditional elements such as group shots can be covered when requested - but quickly and with a minimum of fuss to allow plenty of time to hunt out more candid shots. I have covered a variety of ceremonies - Civil, Church of England, Catholic, Humanist, Jewish, Hindu and even Zoroastrian. As I am based in West Sussex, the majority of weddings have been in the South of England and London. However, past venues have been as far afield as Mallorca, the Cote d'Azur and Portugal. While in the UK, locations have included The Lake District, West Wales, Devon and North Yorkshire - I always relish the chance to shoot at a new and interesting venue. I am a member of The Wedding Photojournalist Association, The Association of Photographers and The British Press Photographers Association Please do contact me at info@beddallweddings.com or on 01403 273908 if you would like to arrange a meeting to see more of my work.
